Polywood® shutters are not only a completely recyclable shutter, but they also contain up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in Denver or even the US that does that.

Sunburst supports green products, designs, and buildings. We reuse any and all materials whenever possible. We recycle water that cools down parts as they come out of ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and turn them into new shutters. We recycle hundreds of tons of materials each year.

When we prepare our window treatments to be transported to your house for installation, we place reusable corner pieces on the edges of louvers and use as little cardboard as possible to pack up the shutters.

Non-Toxic Paint Finish For Shutters

Our interior shutters are coated with paints that are shown to be environmentally safe and hypoallergenic. During our manufacturing method, none of our paints emit fumes. When we declare our paints aren’t toxic, we mean it.
